Neil is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and works within its corporate team. He has over 25 years’ experience working in all areas of corporate law, acting for clients in a number of industry sectors including many in the oil and gas supply chain.

He has extensive experience of transactional work including M&A, management buyouts, private equity investment and start-ups, and acting for clients involved in international transactions.   He also has experience advising on banking and finance transactions, reconstructions and corporate insolvency issues.

Neil, who joined the firm in 1993 after graduating from the University of Aberdeen, continues to be ranked by Chambers (2023 – 2016) for corporate/M&A work which states “He is dedicated, diligent and always delivers the appropriate advice and solutions”  and is “able to work with minimal instruction, which is just what you need to get a complex deal over the line.”  

He is also recognised as Leading Individual in the 2024 edition of Legal 500 for corporate and commercial work.
